Objectives:
Practical:
·       to revise the vocabulary on the topic;
·       to revise pupils’ knowledge about the third singular person in Present Simple.
·       to develop pupils’  reading, speaking, listening skill;
·       to practice pupils’ communicative skills in pair work ;
·       to teach pupils dialogue and monologue speech, pair work;
·       to increase pupils' knowledge about sea animals.
Educational:
·       to extend pupils’ knowledge about sea animals;
·       to develop pupils’ logical and critical thinking;
·       to extend pupils’ knowledge of English as a foreign language;
Developing:
·       to increase pupils' motivation;
·       to develop pupils’ communicative skills;
·       to stimulate pupils’ thinking.
Educative:
·       to encourage children to know, respect and love their native land;
·        to cultivate pupils’ love for native land.

Materials: pictures of  animals, cards with the words, the table of 
                   likes/ dislikes, paper animals, the map of the world,a ball.












1. Greeting J

T. Good morning my friends!
  P.     Good morning, teacher!
       We’re all in our places,
        With shining faces.
        Good morning to you,
        We’re glad to see you!
T. Great! How are you?
P. We’re in a good mood.
     Yes, it’s true.
      We’re in a good mood!
       And how about you?
T. I’m fine, thanks. So let’s start our lesson!

2. Warming up. J
              Solving the riddles
-         Listen to the riddles and guess, what animal is this!
-                 ***
It is very long and green,
 It has long tail and sharp teeth
This animal lives in the river
And likes to eat meat.                              ( crocodile)

It is big and long,
It is very strong
And it lives in the sea.
It’s blue, black and white,
It can swim very fast.                          ( whale)
***
It is green and little,
It lives in the marsh
It likes to eat insects
It can hop and jump.

3.Learning the tongue-twister. J
-Look at the board and read the tongue-twister. Then say it as quickly as you can.
     She sell seashells on the seashore.
The shells she sells are seashells, I’m sure
4.Vocabulary presentation
 - Tell me, please, what sea animals do you remember?
 - Well done! Now, look at these pictures of Sea Animals! Name them in 
Ukrainian.
-         So, look at their English names and try to read them!
* scate, octopus, turtle, shark, whale, dolphin, shell, starfish, jellyfish.


5. Vocabulary practice.
                 Matching
-         Match the name of the animal with its picture( on the board)
                Game” What  picture is missing?”
- Do you remember all of the pictures? So now I’ll take one of them and you should guess, what picture is missing.

6. Speaking-grammar practice
 - Let’s look, say and remember

I Like dolphins and dislike sharks.
She likes turtles but dislikes  cats.

Pupil 1. I like whales but dislikes octopus.
Pupil 2. I like seals but dislike jellyfish.
Pupil 3. She likes shells but dislikes starfish.

6.Game” Snowball”

- One pupil names his/her favourite animal, another pupil repeats these animal and adds his/ her.
 Pupil 1. I like dolphins.
 Pupil 2. I like dolphins and seals.
  Pupil 3. I like dolphins, seals and whales…

7. Doing exercises
- I see you need some rest! Look at me and repeat these movements.
        I can run like a hair.
         I can walk like a bear.
        I can fly like a bird.
        I can dive like a frog.
        I can sleep like a bat.
        I can jump like my cat.
       I can swim like a dog.
       I can eat like a fox.





8.Dialogue speaking
Pair work
-Lets work in pairs. Ask your partner what sea animal he/she like.

P2. I like….

9. Work with the map of the world
 - There you can see the animals from different parts of the planet. What continents do they live? Let’s work with a map. Put the animals on their
native places.

P1. The kangaroo lives in Australia.
P2. The platypus and koalas live in Australia, too..

10. Summing up.
 -Your homework for the next lesson is to learn new words and write about your favourite sea animal.
- Today you have worked very well. Thank you for your work!
